Baby Boomers, The Largest Group is Retiring

From 1946 to 1964 the largest part of the United States population was born, around 76.4 million in fact.  That is almost 40% of the population.

Consumer goods became available via "plastic" and consumption started rising faster than wealth, creating new revenue centers that have now landed this vast group into nearing retirement.

Because of recent market trends one has to wonder are they financially fit enough to retire in a reasonable fashion? I think there will be many looking for alternative income streams.
